Anniversary Celebration
In January 2000, we started our Annual Anniversary Parties. We started serving food on January 3, 1985, so for our 15th anniversary, we decorated the place with our old menus and brought back some of our early menu items and the party began....

Mardi Gras
In 1986, we celebrated our first Mardi Gras. It was a huge success and over the years it has grown to 26 days. It is the Grand-Daddy of all our festivals and is recognized as one of the premiere restaurant promotions in the Hudson Valley running through Fat Tuesday.

Crawfish Festival
The Crawfish Festival began as our third yearly celebration in 1994. Celebrated late April through early May, this Fest features live crawfish flown in from Louisiana and served in a variety of ways.

Savannah Summer
Since 1998, from the middle of June to the end of August is our Savannah Summer at Spanky's.
We feature dinner specials that reflect the cuisine of the Savannah and Charleston area, such as low-country cooking. It's a great celebration, surely one not to be missed.

Catfish Festival
In 1988, Spanky's was designated as one of 10 restaurants in New York State to represent the Catfish Institute of Biloxi, Mississippi. So in August of that year, we celebrated Catfish month. Then, in 1995, we moved Catfish month to September and it became another distinctive festival.

Oyster Festival
In November 1991, we decided to create a second yearly festival and were quickly led to the oyster. We bring in different varieties of oysters and serve then in a variety of ways.

Creole Christmas
Christmas took on a southern flair in 1996. The Christmas decor reflects a more southern holiday style, and the dinner specials were more reflective of the traditional southern holiday cuisine. So if you want to do a holiday party in the gentle atmosphere of the old South, be sure to book early.
